05 Bovine smuggling bids foiled by JKP in Sub Division Nagrota,44 bovines rescued,05 vehicles seized.

Jammu police tightening noose against bovine smugglers under operation Kamdhenu Police Station Nagrota foiled four (02 Police Station Nagrota and 02 Police Post Sidhra) bovine smuggling bids in which 38 bovines were rescued and 04 vehicles.

• Canter (truck) bearing registration No JK02AQ-6470.
• Truck bearing registration No.JK14J/6883 seized from Naka Ban Toll Plaza.
• Vehicle Truck bearing registeration No. JK02X- 5534 driven by unknown driver loaded with 12 Bovine animals and
• Mahindra Pickup bearing Registration No.JK19-9700 driven by unknown driver loaded with 04 Bovine animals intercepted from naka Tawi bridge Sidhra.Bovine smuggler namely Imtiaz Ali S/o Mehndi Khan R/o Balu Tordi District Udhampur arrested on spot and 03 bovine smugglers fled away from the spot taking advantages of darkness.

In this regard four cases registered in police stations Nagrota :-

3)FIR No.134/2024,
4)FIR No.135/2024

U/Ss 188/IPC 11 PCA Act 50/52/54/56 Transport of animal rule registered.

Moreover 06 bovines were rescued by PP Manwal, during naka checking at Nadal naka of PP Manwal one Mhindra Bolero bearing registration No. JK03l/9149 was signalled to stop for checking which was coming from Battal towards Udhampur kashmir side. During checking of said vehicle 6 bovine animals were found loaded in the said vehicle with cruelty without any DM permission. Accused person is arrest on spot.

FIR No. 110/2024 U/S 188 IPC,11PCA stands registered in PS Jhajjar Kotli.

Further investigation in all the five cases registered in Subdivision Nagrota are in progress.

General pubic have appreciated the stringent actions taken by police against the bovine smugglers.
