Kathua; 22 Aug:- District Cyber Cell Kathua under overall supervision of SSP Kathua has demonstrated its commitment to combat cyber crime by recovering online defrauded amount of ₹ 2,05,000/-
Brief facts of the case are that on 30/05/2024, an offline complaint was lodged in Cyber Cell Kathua in which a complainant namely Sant Ram Gupta R/o Ward No.1 Kathua reported that fraudster impersonating himself as his nephew on call asked him to transfer an amount of Rs 2,20,000 and he transfered the amount to two different fraudster accounts.
During the investigation, the Cyber Cell Kathua team acted swiftly and exhibited hectic efforts and freezed the said fraudster accounts. Today on 22/08/2024, the defrauded amount of Rs 2,05,000 has been recovered and credited back to the account of victim.
