SAMBA: Continuing its drive against drug smugglers/peddlers, Police have arrested two drug peddlers in the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur and recovered 8.30 grams of approximately heroin-like substance from their possession.
A Police party of Police Station Vijaypur headed by Insp Zaheer Mushtaq SHO PS Vijaypur during special vehicle checking Naka established on NHW near Radha Sowami Ashram Tandi Khui Vijaypur, intercepted a car bearing registration No. JK11E-9149 coming from the Jammu side for its checking. During checking, 8.30 grams approximately heroin-like substance was recovered from the possession of persons sitting in the vehicle.
The arrested drug peddlers have been identified as Ajay Sharma S/O Vijay Sharma R/O Makot tehsil and district Rajouri and Shaksham Sasan S/o Gulshan Kumar R/o Gohlad Mendhar Tehsil Mendhar district Poonch.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 68/2024 U/S 8/21/22/25/29 NDPS ACT has been registered at PS Vijaypur. Further investigation of the case is going on.
