Hands over interim relief to the family of accident victims
Kathua, May 29: The Deputy Commissioner Kathua Dr. Rakesh Minhas has expressed anguish over the tragic death of 02 persons who died in a accident at Kot Punnu last week.
The accident happened when the persons were hit by a speedy dumper in which 02 persons lost their lives.
ADC Kathua Ranjit Singh, RTO Kathua Kewal Krishan visited the bereaved family at Nagri and offered condolences besides assured support of the district administration.
Terming the accident as highly unfortunate, the Deputy Commissioner said “an interim relief of Rs 1 Lakh has been sanctioned under Road Accident Victim fund to the bereaved family.” The remaining amount of Rs. 1 Lakh shall be released soon.
The objective of the fund is to provide immediate succor to the dependents/ kith and kin/ legal heirs of the persons killed, injured in road accidents of passenger cum private vehicles including the vehicles owned by government corporations/public sector undertakings etc.
