Under the able aegis of J&K Legal Services Authority and as per the Action plan issued by J&K Legal Services Authority, (JKLSA) for the month of June, 2024 and also under the radiant guidance and overall supervision of Sh. Ashok Kumar Shavan, Worthy Chairman, District Legal Services Authority Kathua (Principal District & Sessions Judge Kathua) organised a Plantation drive to observe the ‘World Environment Day’ at Ashoka Law College Kathua. The programme was inaugated by Sh. Ashok Kumar Shavan, Worthy Chairman District Legal Services Authority Kathua (Pr. District & Sessions Judge Kathua) and also were the Chief guest of the program..On this occasion Worthy Chairman, DLSA Kathua encouraged everyone to plant more trees and preserve the environment. He also raised the awareness about protecting the nature. The welcome address delivered by Mr.
Suparan Sharma, Lecturer, and conveyed Vote of thanks by Ms. Ritika Sharma Lecturers Ashoka Law College Kathua. This programme was attended by all the faculty members. of Ashoka Law College Kathua, Staff of Pr. District and Sessions Court Kathua, Officers of Legal Aid Defence Counsel Kathua, Staff and PLVs of DLSA Kathua.
This initiative by DLSA Kathua is a testament to its dedication to environmental sustainability, aligning with the global theme of “World Environment Day, 2024” “Lanc Restoration, Stopping Desertification and building drought resilience”.
