Celebrations of 78thIndependence Day, NSS and NCC Units of GDC (Boys) Kathua organized an Intra College Essay Writing Competition on the theme “Freedom Strugglerand 78th Independence Day” on 8th August 2024.
The event was held under the guidance of worthy Principal Prof. Seema Mir. Eleven participants participated in this Essay writing competition under the supervision of NSS Program officers of the college.Thestudents were evaluated based on ideation and writing skills in relevance to the given theme title. The judgement was done by the panel of the three judges namelyDr. Yash Pal Sharma, HOD Urdu, Dr. Isha Verma,Department of Hindi and Prof. Rakhi Malhotra, Department of English of GDC Kathua.
Sania Billowria, a 3rdsemester student bagged1stposition, Nikita Sharma, 5thsemester student bagged 2ndposition and Palak,3rdSemester student bagged 3rdposition with a marginal scoresdifferences.
In the end,Dr. Pinkey, NSS Program Officer presented vote of thanks and appreciated the enthusiasm of the students during the event.
