NSS Unit and Physical Education Department of GDC Mahanpur has organised a Cleanliness Drive on 5th of August, 2024 under the bannership of Swachhta Pakhwadaand Independence Day Celebration from 01-15 August 2024. The event was organisedby Dr. Jogbinder Singh Soodan, Physical Director and NSS P.O. Dr. Rupalee Jasrotia under the supervision of Dr. Sangeeta Sudan, Principal of the College. Cleanliness is next to Godliness,” is a wise saying that refers to the importance of cleanliness in a person’s life. Moreover Mahatma Gandhi said “Sanitation is more important than independence”. He made cleanliness and sanitation an integral part of the Gandhian way of living. More than 40 NSS Volunteers participated in the Cleanliness Drive. The faculty members present in the programme were Dr. Mohinder Nath Sharma, Dr. Nisha and Dr. Sapna.
