Swachhta Pakhwada, GDC, Marheen, organized Intra College Essay Writing Competition on the theme, “Unsung Heroes of the Freedom Struggle”. The programme was organized under the kind supervision of Esteemed Principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Anupama Gupta. Prof. Sandeep Chaudhary, senior most faculty member of the college, in his addressed encouraged the students to know about the contribution of freedom fighters and the sacrifices of those who would not get proper attention regarding their valuable contribution in the freedom struggle and the Nation building there after Independence. He also encouraged the students to follow the footprints of such unsung heroes of Indian Freedom Struggle in building the nation as per their dreams.
The whole programme was organized under the supervision of Prof. Sandeep Chaudhary, Associate Professor and Dr. Balbinder Singh, Nodal Officer (Swachhata Pakhwada). The faculty members who judged the competition were Dr. Munisha Devi, Dr. Shallu Rani and Prof. Manu Saini. The other members present during the programme were Dr. Arun Dev Singh and Prof. Anoop Sharma.
The students of the college actively participated in Intra College Essay Writing Competition. First position was bagged by Kanika, second position was taken by Mansi and third position was bagged by Neha and fourth position was taken by Salima.
